Naeem Hirani is a Partner at Oraro & Company Advocates, Nairobi. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital. Naeem has advised international and domestic clients in complex cross-border transactions across sub-Saharan Africa. Naeem obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Leeds, a Post Graduate Diploma in Tax from the East Africa School of Taxation and is currently pursuing an MBA from Queen Mary, University of London with a specialisation in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Naeem had worked with Anjarwalla & Khanna, a Tier 1 law firm based in Nairobi for eight years during which time he spent six months in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. In 2017, Naeem was awarded the Africa Legal Fellowship by the Cyrus R. Vance Centre for International Justice and spent nine months working with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York.
